Arriving from Houston, Texas, she attracted a great deal of interest as she was carrying a large cargo of wind turbine blades bound for the Portland Wind Energy Project in Victoria, Australia, a cargo not usually seen in Auckland.
The Portland Wind Energy Project involves the building of four wind farms at Capes Bridgewater, Nelson and Sir William Grant and also at Yambuk in SE Victoria.
The A$330million, 195Mw project will produce enough electricity to power around 120,000 homes, the equivalent of all the homes in Geelong.
