SeapixOnlineDisplaying 360 of 11133 This former RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution, UK) arrived in New Zealand to be named P&O NEDLLOYD RESCUE by the Waiheke Volunteer Coastguard. Built by Bideford Shipyard (now Harland & Wolff - Appledore) in Devon in 1975 she was named Louis Marchesi of Round Table (operational number 44-019) while in the service of the RNLI and is credited with saving 264 lives during 506 “shouts”. Today she is privately owned and often seen riding a mooring near the Auckland Harbour Bridge.
