QUEEN VICTORIA (2007/90049grt/IMO 9320556) inbound from Rarotonga, seen moments before the first glimpse of dawn, glides toward her berth at Princes Wharf, Auckland, NZ, one of the many ports of call for the Cunard ship during her second Round-the-World cruise. She was followed minutes astern of her by Princess Cruises' TAHITIAN PRINCESS (1999/30277grt/IMO 9187899, ex-R-FOUR. Renamed OCEAN PRINCESS then SIRENA in 2016) which arrived from Nukualofa. They joined Mitsui's NIPPON MARU in port making it one of the busiest days on record for the Port of Auckland. Between 9-15 February 2009, twelve cruiseships will have visited Auckland shattering the previous record of nine vessel visits within a seven day period set in February 2007. 12 February 2009.
