SeapixOnlineDisplaying 1 of 2 BRIGITTE BARDOT (1998/41tons) - a trimaran, now Australian-flagged and part of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society fleet. Built by Vosper Thornycroft she was originally built as CABLE AND WIRELESS ADVENTURER for what proved a successful attempt on the global circumnavigation record for a powered craft in less than 80 days. She was renamed OCEAN 7 ADVENTURER in 2007, RAT RACE MEDIA ADVENTURER in 2008. After acquisition by Sea Shepherd in 2010 she was renamed M/V GOJIRA but the name was promptly changed to BRIGITTE BARDOT following notice being served on the organisation by the copyright holders of the Gojira/Godzilla franchise over ilegal use of a trademark (Ref: Wikipedia). She is seen here alongside at Williamstown, Victoria, Australia soon after conducting sea trials following repairs to damage sustained off the west Australian coast while pursuing Japanese whalers.
