SeapixOnlineDisplaying 5026 of 11107 MONTE STELLO (1979/11630grt/IMO 7807093, ex-PALANGA, MONTE STELLO) arrived in Auckland, New Zealand following a 71 hour voyage from Wellington. She arrived for urgent drydocking at the VT Fitzroy shipyard after a collision with an unidentified underwater object two miles off Tory Channel in the Marlborough Sounds, NZ. On arrival at Picton, divers sent below found her to have sustained badly bent starboard prop blades. It is suspected the ship hit a large log.
