SeapixOnlineDisplaying 9362 of 11102 WILLIAM C. DALDY (1935/348grt/IMO 5390345) - built by Lobnitz and Co in Renfrew, Scotland, she took 84 days to steam out to New Zealand after which she gave 41 years sterling service at the port of Auckland.
She is seen here heading for the start line of the 168th Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta tug race alongside SIERRA and SHAMROCK.
SIERRA (1917) was built as a harbour ferry and general workboat. She was also part of the Subritzky fleet in later years. She was steamed around the coast to Auckland in the 1950s and used as a ferry for the workmen during the construction of the Auckland Harbour Bridge in the late 1950's.
SHAMROCK (1915) - Built for Faulkner Ferries of Tauranga. Today she is a well known charter boat on the Kaipara Harbour, north of Auckland, NZ.
In March 2017 SHAMROCK hit rocks entering Tutukaka Harbour in Northland.
