SeapixOnline- Scrapped vessels - 1 of 1 LYTTELTON II (1939/303grt/LR No. 5215521) - alongside North Wharf, Melbourne, Australia. She is to towed to Geelong for a date with the scrappers torches. Currently owned by Bay Steamers of Melbourne, she was originally built by Lobnitz and Co of Renfrew, Scotland for the Lyttelton Harbour Board, New Zealand. After forty years service she was retired but because an older tug named LYTTELTON was already being used for tourist cruises in the area, she was sold to Australian interests.
