SeapixOnlineDisplaying Image 21 of 25 SIERRA and RONAKI in close-quarters racing at the top mark of the 2010 tug race course. RONAKI was built for Auckland Harbour Board (AHB) as MANUKAU sometime between 1911-1916 by Charles Bailey Jnr. SIERRA (1917) was built as a harbour ferry and general workboat. She was also part of the Subritzky fleet in later years. Steamed around the coast to Auckland in the 1950’s she was used as a ferry for the workmen during the construction of the Auckland Harbour Bridge in the late 1950's. Keywords: | ![]()
